The completed work included a review of the existing Okanagan Lake intake configuration, assessment of the intake screen capacity relative to applicable fish-screening criteria, and evaluation of options to extend the intake to deeper water. Divers completed an ROV inspection and GPS survey to confirm the existing intake alignment, screen location, lake bottom elevations, and potential extension routes to approximately 30 m and 40 m depths. The work also included preliminary hydraulic analyses, review of water quality considerations associated with deeper intake locations, and preparation of conceptual cost estimates and recommendations for future screen upgrades, intake extension planning, and additional water quality sampling.
